We weren't supposed
to start this.

Innovation Ireland is a nonprofit community for ambitious young people across Ireland who want to build things. It started with a room we had to ask for.

Our school robotics team got shut down.

So we crossed the road.

We asked the local football club if we could use their clubhouse, brought our projects with us and started meeting every week.

That little group in Headford became Innovation Ireland.

Now we're building communities across the country.

  1. Robotics team shut down that was meant to be the end of it
  2. Crossed the road
  3. Moyne Villa clubhouse one room, one plug socket
  4. Started building every single week
  5. 100+ young people and counting

yeah, this actually happened.

You don't need to be
“good at tech.”

You just need to
want to make something.

Some people here have been building since they were ten. Some turned up having never written a line of code and spent the first night asking what everyone else was doing. Both are completely normal.

Nobody tests you at the door. You show up, you get shown how things work, and fairly soon you're the one showing somebody else.

everyone is figuring it out
